Kiev was targeted during the night of this Tuesday (local time) by a new large-scale attack, after Russian forces launched more than 30 ballistic missiles against the capital of Ukraine, forcing the activation of air defense systems at various points in the city.

According to the media outlet United24media, alert sirens spread throughout the capital while Ukrainian defenses tried to intercept the projectiles heading towards various urban sectors.
One of the impacts was recorded in the Obolonskyi district, where a missile hit a non-residential area. Emergency teams and rescuers were immediately deployed to assess the damage and address the situation.
The mayor of Kiev, Vitali Klitschko, also reported that, according to preliminary information, an office building was also hit in that same district.
Meanwhile, serious damage began to be reported in residential buildings in the Sviatoshynskyi district, although so far authorities have not provided an official report on possible victims or injured persons.

The offensive also caused fires in other parts of the capital. The Military Administration of the City of Kiev indicated that a one-story warehouse caught fire in the Holosiivskyi district, while efforts continue to determine the extent of the damage.
In turn, the Ukrainian public media Suspilne News reported that another fire was declared in a warehouse in the Desnianskyi district and that missile debris fell near a residential building.
Emergency teams remain deployed in the affected areas carrying out fire extinguishing, damage assessment, and search for possible victims, while authorities continue gathering information on the scope of the attack.
