The Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom, condemned the attack on a warehouse intended for health aid in Ukraine. In this regard, he emphasized that one of the rules in wars is that health must be protected.

The health authority openly reproached the assault on a humanitarian resource storage located in Dnipro, which was “hit and destroyed” on August 7.
“This warehouse held humanitarian medical supplies, intended for frontline health centers, mainly WHO emergency health resources,” he explained on his X account.
He detailed that members of his organization had been earlier at the site, supporting the evacuation of resources. They managed to remove 130 of 300 pallets and left the area before the attack. No casualties were reported at the site.

“I cannot say it strongly enough: attacks on healthcare must stop. Otherwise, people are deprived of life-saving medical care. Even wars have rules. One of those is that health must be protected!,” reproached the WHO Director-General.
Precisely, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, denounced that during the night of last Friday the Russian Army attacked different regions of his country, such as Kyiv, Dnipro, Mykolaiv, and Donetsk.
In a press conference during his first visit to Serbia, the president stated that much of Moscow’s offensives are directed at essential facilities for the civilian population. “We do not have a single power plant that has not been attacked. Railway stations, hospitals, universities, public companies,” he said.
