At least seven people were killed in an Israeli bombing of a house in southern Lebanon this Saturday, the worst attack since the agreement reached in June to halt hostilities between Israel and the Islamist group Hezbollah.

The Lebanese National News Agency (NNA) specified that it was “an attack launched by enemy combat aircraft against a house”. Meanwhile, rescue teams removed the rubble and transported the injured to the hospital.
The rocket launches against Israel by Hezbollah, with support from its ally Iran, sparked the conflict between the two nations in the Middle East last March.

In response to the attack, Israel launched intense air strikes and a ground invasion that caused the death of more than 4,300 people, according to Lebanese authorities.
Although the memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran had led to a decrease in violence in the region, Lebanon continues to report intermittent Israeli attacks that have occasionally caused casualties and widespread demolitions of civilian buildings.
