At least one Palestinian citizen died and seven others were injured this Saturday following a series of airstrikes and artillery fire carried out by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) at various points in the Gaza Strip, according to local sources reported to the Turkish news agency Anadolu.
The victim of the Israeli attacks was identified as Mohamed Bashir Abu Armana, who died after being hit by gunfire from the Army in the Nuseirat refugee camp, located in the center of the enclave.
In that same central area, another two victims suffered injuries in the Bureij camp from troop gunfire, while two more people were burned after a motorcycle caught fire due to an impact.
Meanwhile, in the city of Khan Yunis, in the south of the Strip, Israeli air offensives hit several homes in the Jorat al Lot sector and in the urban center. In that place, at least two civilians were injured by gunfire and had to be urgently evacuated to Nasser Hospital.
According to assessments by Palestinian health authorities, violations of the ceasefire in effect since last October have caused the death of more than 1,260 people and injured another 4,150.
Thus, the Israeli military offensive in the enclave, which began in October 2023, already totals more than 73,000 dead and 174,000 injured.
