The authorities of Nepal raised early Friday to nearly 470 the death toll from the floods that occurred on Wednesday following the strong rise of the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa, a mountainous district near the border with Tibet, China.
Specifically, there are 469 dead due to the devastating avalanche, according to the Nepalese police on social media, adding that most of the bodies were rescued in the districts of Chitwan and Nawalparasi.
Likewise, it was reported that a total of 1,545 injured people were rescued. Of these, practically all are distributed between the districts of Nuwakit and Rasuwa.

It also noted that 28 officers of the same police force remain missing, while nearly 4,350 remain deployed in the affected areas.
For its part, the National Authority for Disaster Risk Management and Reduction, which agreed on the death toll, maintained the number of missing at 977, a number that includes 517 foreigners
