During the morning of this Friday, the President of the United States, Donald Trump, participated in the commemoration ceremony for the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks, held at the Pentagon.

During the event, the president paid tribute to the 2,977 people who died in the attacks against the Twin Towers, the Pentagon, and Flight 93, while noting that “our country has never been as strong as it is now.”
According to Trump, “25 years after the attacks, we know the world will never be the same as it was that dawn, on that beautiful and peaceful Tuesday morning in 2001,” adding that “we have been tested many times. We are being tested today. And we are passing that test with great success.”
Likewise, Trump highlighted the work of the U.S. armed forces, pointing out that “since September 11, sons and daughters of the United States have traveled to the darkest corners of the Earth and have fought against an enemy in the shadows, so that our children can once again know carefree days and clear skies.”

“We salute the emergency teams and law enforcement, and we deeply appreciate them. Likewise, we salute the members of the armed forces who are working right now to ensure that the world’s leading sponsor of terrorism, the Islamic Republic of Iran, never, ever, acquires a nuclear weapon,” he said.
Trump also mentioned that “the 25 years since September 11 have shown us the even greater power of the American spirit to endure, prevail, and triumph,” adding that “our country has never been as strong as it is now.”
Finally, Trump also remembered the victims of September 11, stating that “In those anguished days after the attacks, we witnessed the true spirit of our nation. That day, we were all New Yorkers. Each one of us; we were all New Yorkers. But we were also all Americans. We were all one family. We were all patriots,” he said.
