Russia launched a new air offensive against Ukraine in the last hours with 453 unmanned aerial vehicles, of which 409 were neutralized by Ukrainian defenses.

According to the Air Force of that country reported this Sunday, the attack included kamikaze drones Shahed, some equipped with jet propulsion, as well as Gerbera devices, Parodia replicas, and loitering munitions S8000 Banderol, considered a hybrid between drone and missile.
According to the Ukrainian military report, the defenses managed to shoot down or block 405 drones of different types and four Banderol. Despite this, impacts were recorded in 13 points, while remains of intercepted devices fell in seven other sectors.
The offensive took place after a day of attacks that left victims in different areas of the country. In Odesa, in southern Ukraine, two people died after a Russian missile hit a 25-story residential building during the night, according to local authorities.
At the same time, Ukraine intensified its drone operations over Russian territory. In Tatarstan, two people died after a drone hit a tree and affected a vehicle in the city of Nizhnekamsk. According to the local mayor, Radmir Beliayev, two other people were seriously injured.
Subsequently, the Ukrainian Armed Forces confirmed an attack against the Nizhnekamsk refinery, a facility that had already been targeted in previous offensives.
Kiev also claimed to have hit a refinery in Slaviansk-na-Kubani, in southern Russia. According to the Ukrainian General Staff, the facility has an annual processing capacity close to 5.2 million tons of crude oil and produces fuels, naphtha, fuel oil, and aviation kerosene, among other products.
Ukrainian military authorities maintain that the plant supplies the Russian Armed Forces.
On the other hand, the director of the Russian atomic agency denounced a Ukrainian attack against trucks responsible for transporting fuel to the Zaporiyia nuclear power plant, a facility currently under Russian control.
According to the authority, the attacks occurred on Friday and affected tanker vehicles transporting diesel to the plant. “Two soldiers died and a large number of Russian soldiers were injured, some seriously”, he stated.
The new attacks occur amid an intensification of cross offensives between Moscow and Kiev, with operations directed both against energy infrastructure and military and logistical targets in both countries.
