Russian authorities announced this Monday the shooting down of nearly 400 drones launched in recent hours by Ukrainian forces, who in turn have reported 85 intercepted devices, as part of a new night of cross attacks that so far has not reported any casualties.

The Russian Ministry of Defense indicated in a brief statement published on social media that the air defense systems have destroyed 399 unmanned devices in various regions of the country, as well as over the waters of the Black Sea and the Crimean Peninsula, annexed in 2014 by Moscow, in a step not recognized by the international community.
For its part, the Ukrainian Air Force has pointed out that Russian troops launched 108 drones during the night and has assured that 85 were intercepted. However, it has confirmed impacts in seven points of the country, while warning that “the attack continues, as there are enemy drones in the airspace.”

The last few days have been marked by a surge in cross attacks between Russia and Ukraine, after a recent visit to both countries by envoys of the President of the United States, Donald Trump, with the aim of trying to unblock the diplomatic negotiation process.
