Between this Friday and Saturday, rescue teams in Xaisomboun, Laos, managed to extract five people from a flooded cave who had been trapped since May 20 when they entered this place, presumably in search of gold.
The organization Rescue Volunteer for People, shared a few days ago the footage in which the volunteers celebrated when they managed to locate five of the seven people who remained trapped.
Later, in other videos published this weekend, it could be seen when they were able to get them out of the cave and provide them with the corresponding medical service.
However, the search efforts continue, as there is still no information about the other two people who made up this group.
Initially, ten people entered the cave, three of them managed to get out when the situation became complicated and alerted the authorities.
The president of Rescue Volunteer for People, Bounkham Luanglath, previously told the Laotian media Vientiane Times that, “regarding the two men who still remain inside the cave and whom we have not yet located, we are quite confident that both could still be alive, as there are no signs of death nor foul or rancid odor, which is a positive sign.”
