A 4-year-old boy died this Sunday as a result of the injuries suffered during an Israeli bombing in the Zawaida area, in the center of the Gaza Strip, according to the Martyrs of Al Aqsa Hospital.

The minor was identified as Mohamed Abd al Salam Hassan Taha. According to the background provided by the healthcare center, he was inside a tent near a warehouse that was hit by the attack, near the Maghazi camp.
The shrapnel produced by the explosion pierced the tent canvas and seriously injured the boy, who later died from the injuries.
During the attack, Gaza Civil Defense reported that its teams “are currently working to control a fire in a warehouse attacked by the Israeli occupation near the Maghazi crossing, on Salah al Din street.”
Hours earlier, another bombing had hit the entrance to the Maghazi camp, causing the death of a 25-year-old man, identified as Ismail Abu Al Foul, according to the same hospital.
Regarding both deaths, the Israel Defense Forces had not yet provided a version of the attacks.
The events occur while the ceasefire established in Gaza since October 2025 remains in effect.
According to the count published this Sunday by the Gaza Ministry of Health, at least 1,286 Palestinians have died in Israeli attacks during the truce period.
Figures provided by Palestinian and international organizations also reflect the impact the conflict has had on minors. According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), nearly 21,300 minors have died in Gaza since October 7, 2023.
That day marked the start of the current escalation of the conflict following the attack by Palestinian militias against Israel and the subsequent Israeli offensive on the Strip.
In general terms, the Gaza Ministry of Health estimates at least 73,420 deaths since the start of the offensive.
