One person died and several were injured this Saturday in an Israeli attack in the neighborhood of Sheikh Radwan, northwest of Gaza City, according to medical sources from Shifa Hospital, where the victims were transferred. Palestinian media described the incident as a drone attack against a bicycle and pedestrians in the area.

The deceased person was identified as Abdel-Nasser Al-Maqadma, head of the police force led by Hamas, the Islamist group in the northern Strip, and was also known as the governor of that area of the enclave.
So far, the Israeli Army has not issued a statement about the attack or about the other incidents reported during the day.
Previously, one person was seriously injured in another Israeli attack against a vehicle parked in front of the Civil Defense headquarters, in the Al Saftawi area, north of Gaza City, according to information provided by Shifa Hospital.
Another unmanned aerial vehicle hit the Al Sawarha area, west of the Al Nuseirat camp, in the center of the Strip. Two injured people were transferred to the Belgian Field Hospital, located west of Al Zawaida.
The violence continues despite the ceasefire reached in October 2025, which halted large-scale fighting but did not end almost daily Israeli attacks or armed incidents within the Strip.
According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, since the truce came into effect, 1,191 Palestinians have died, another 3,853 have been injured, and 803 bodies have been recovered.
The latest available report from the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs recorded, as of July 22, 1,180 deaths and 3,810 injuries since the ceasefire announcement, figures attributed to the same Gazan health body and prior to this Saturday’s attacks.
