“We fear a possible resurgence of the fire on its northwest flank, towards Lacanau,” said Rémi Lassoureille, commander in charge of the natural risks and forest fires team of Gironde, in a press conference, statements collected by the newspaper ‘Le Monde’.
In this regard, he announced the evacuation of several campsites in this area, although the measure is preventive because “for the moment, the situation is relatively under control.”
