After heavy rains in the locality of Xaisomboun in Laos, the search efforts for the last two people trapped in a cave are being delayed.

Finnish diver Mikko Paasi, who is participating in the rescues, told Associated Press that the rains filled the cave up to the second chamber, preventing divers from entering until the pumps could lower the water level.
Additionally, a Japanese diver also reported that a drainage pump broke down.
More than two weeks ago, ten villagers entered the underground cavity in search of minerals. After complications, three of them managed to escape and notify the authorities.

This Friday and Saturday, rescue teams managed to free five of the people still trapped, who even managed to walk out on their own, amid hugs from their loved ones and rescue personnel.
However, the whereabouts of the remaining two people are unknown, although the search teams have been positive in previous days and hope to find them alive.
