The President of the United States, Donald Trump, insisted this Monday that a new round of talks with Iran is underway, whose authorities he has called “incredibly hypocritical,” assuring that “they are begging” for negotiations with Washington to end the conflict unleashed at the end of February.
“Whether Iran wants to admit it or not, we are talking, in fact, about a solution to a problem they themselves have caused for decades. It’s very simple: Iran will never have a nuclear weapon!” he reiterated on his social media.
The White House occupant lamented that “Iranian leaders are ‘incredibly hypocritical,’ accusing them of requesting meetings with the United States while “then openly and proudly stating that they are not holding any dialogue, that nothing is being discussed, and that they only deal with ‘Oman’.”
In this vein, Trump criticized the “usual rhetoric” of the Iranian authorities about their control over the Strait of Hormuz, which, he assured, “is already completely under the control” of the North American country.
“Nothing reaches Iran, unless we want it to, and nothing will, unless an agreement or total surrender is reached,” threatened the American leader.
