On the eve of its world premiere, scheduled for this Friday the 7th, the new film by the directors of The Wolf House (2018) and The Hyperboreans (2024) released its first trailer.

The preview provides a first look at the story of Princess Diana (Antonia Giesen), daughter of King Arthur (Francisco Melo). The monarch decides to apply a severe measure – the prohibition of love – which conflicts with Diana’s falling in love with Lalo (Andrew Bargsted), a stranger who wears a bracelet that allows her to travel to other worlds.

“It is a film that moves through various cinematic genres, but starts in a fantasy genre world, where a romantic love story unfolds,” Cociña told Culto in the duo’s first interview about the feature film.

“It is the most normal of our films because this time we had fun trying to follow the rules of the fantasy genre,” León pointed out.

Produced by Catalina Vergara and co-written by León, Cociña, and Alejandra Moffat, Donkey Princess features original music by Jean-Benoît Dunckel, half of the French band Air.
