The United Kingdom Intelligence services pointed out this Wednesday “continuous errors” by the Russian Air Force in its bombings against Ukraine and highlighted that these would have had “destructive and lethal consequences” for the Russian population due to the impact of munitions on the territory of the Eurasian country and Ukrainian areas under occupation.
Thus, they have echoed information recently published by the Russian media Astra, according to which Russia would have dropped 25 bombs on Russian territory and the occupied area of Ukraine so far in 2026, with one death on May 16 in Dubovoye. Additionally, in 2025 there were 143 incidents of this type, with 165 in 2024.
The Russian Air Force is currently conducting more than 200 flights a day against Ukraine, with an average of between 180 and 250 guided munition launches per day, depending on weather conditions,” the British Intelligence services explained.
In this regard, they emphasized that this type of error “demonstrates continuous errors in Russia’s ability to successfully employ its munitions against designated targets,” according to a statement published by the United Kingdom Ministry of Defence through social media.

“These errors have destructive and lethal consequences for the Russian population,” they stated, while emphasizing that “they probably occur due to a combination of poor procedures when arming the aircraft before takeoff and poor crew execution during missions.”
Finally, they highlighted that “the frequency of this type of incident probably demonstrates a degree of fatigue among air and ground personnel within the Air Force, while exposing inadequate military training,” amid the war unleashed in February 2022 by the invasion order of Ukraine signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
