Feria Aparte returns to Independencia. On Saturday, October 3 and Sunday, October 4, the contemporary art fair will celebrate its fifth edition at the Ex Cervecería Ebner, a heritage building that is part of Mall Barrio Independencia, with completely free admission.

Created in 2022 as an independent and self-managed fair, Feria Aparte seeks to strengthen the national artistic ecosystem and expand access to contemporary art. In its five editions, more than 30,000 people have visited the fair, which has brought together more than 150 galleries, collectives, workshops, and projects, promoted the circulation of more than 800 artists, and achieved the sale of more than 2,000 works.
This year, more than 40 exhibitors of visual arts will be part of the fair, with proposals from emerging and established artists. They will be joined by a public program with talks, workshops, live music, tours, and mediation activities, designed to bring contemporary art closer to diverse audiences and create new opportunities for encounters between artists, projects, and visitors.
“We want the fair to continue growing as a meeting space where artists, galleries, projects, and audiences can connect. Celebrating five years of Feria Aparte is a very important milestone for us and also a reaffirmation of our commitment as an active part of the national artistic ecosystem. We believe that a more diverse, accessible, and collaborative scene strengthens contemporary art and all its actors,” explained Ana Carolina Tapia, director of Feria Aparte.
For the second consecutive year, the fair will take place at the Ex Cervecería Ebner, a Historic Monument and a key building for the industrial history of Santiago. During the weekend, this heritage space will be reactivated to welcome thousands of visitors and become a meeting point between contemporary art, heritage, and the city.
The fifth edition will add new partnerships and recognitions for the participating projects. Among the novelties is the AGAC Award for the Exhibition Proposal, which will recognize aspects such as curatorial work, installation, the relationship between the works, and the experience created for the public. This new recognition is joined by the continuation of two important partnerships: for the third consecutive year, the MAC Acquisition Award will be given, while Fundación Mecenas will hold its Acquisition Award for the second year, with the winning work becoming part of the Mecenas Collection.
AGAC, Fundación Mecenas, and Capa3 will also be part of this edition, among other organizations linked to the cultural ecosystem, as well as a varied gastronomic offer and activities for people of different ages.
With free admission since its inception, Feria Aparte seeks to contribute to the formation of new audiences and democratize access to contemporary art. Its fifth edition once again invites you to explore, learn about, and acquire art in an open and accessible space where artists, projects, collectors, and audiences can meet.
