The United States Army denied this Wednesday that Iran has hit two of its destroyers in the Middle East, after the Revolutionary Guard claimed to have attacked these ships as part of a new exchange of attacks in recent hours.

“The Iranian Revolutionary Guard claims to have hit two U.S. Navy destroyers operating in the Middle East. This is completely false,” said the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) in a social media message, stating that “all attacks by the Revolutionary Guard failed.”
It added that, for its part, “U.S. forces destroyed ten Iranian tankers during the last week”. “These ships were part of a shadow network that finances the Revolutionary Guard with billions of dollars, without Iran being able to defend them,” it concluded.
The United States has launched several waves of bombings against Iran in recent days, which has responded with attacks against U.S. interests in the region, amid the stalemate of the Pakistan-mediated dialogue to reach an agreement to end the open war started on February 28 by the offensive of the United States and Israel.
