Norway’s Prime Minister, Jonas Gahr Store, stated this Wednesday that the plane that transported the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, to Oslo the day before was “almost” hit by a drone.

“His plane was almost shot down by a drone as it was about to take off from Moldova, so that is the reality (Zelensky) faces, and he has to travel back and forth and work to gain that support,” he said in statements to the NRK radio and television.
According to the network, the leader traveled to the Norwegian capital Tuesday night to attend the funeral of King Harald V. Upon arrival, he met with the head of government, as well as with the Ministers of Finance and Foreign Affairs, Jens Stoltenberg and Espen Barth Eide, respectively.
Store indicated that he has held “two very productive meetings” with Zelensky. “Early this morning he was in my office. We spent another hour together and I asked him how he had spent the night; he told me it had not been a good night because he spent the time on the phone receiving news about where the missiles were hitting, so it is a very dramatic situation that makes a strong impression,” he recounted.
Store and Zelensky, who has not given details about the incident involving his plane, also met this Wednesday with executives from defense companies of Ukraine’s allied countries.
This was indicated by the Ukrainian president, who on his social networks thanked Oslo for hosting this meeting, whose “main topic was the FREYJA anti-ballistic program, which can provide Europe with integrated protection against aerial threats thanks to the joint efforts of Ukraine, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.”
