The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has announced that his decision on the negotiations in Iran is imminent and that he is heading to the White House Situation Room to adopt a “final” response to the draft agreement for the cessation of hostilities with Iran.
In a message posted on social media, Trump confirmed the key points of the negotiations advanced for weeks by US and Iranian media: Iran commits to never developing a nuclear bomb and will open the Strait of Hormuz unconditionally. In return, the United States will lift its blockade around the strait and withdraw enriched uranium in a joint operation with Tehran and the United Nations nuclear agency.
The US leader assured that Iran will not receive any money “until further notice” and that there is already an agreement with Tehran “on other matters of much lesser importance.” At the end of his message, Trump confirms the imminent start of the meeting in the White House Situation Room “to make a final decision on this matter.”

The United States confirmed on Thursday a preliminary agreement with Iran to extend the truce for two more months and guarantee passage through the Strait of Hormuz, a document in which the parties commit to start talks on the Iranian nuclear program, although on Iran’s side they have avoided confirming the truth of the reports about this pact, which still lacks approval from Trump.
