Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned Iran on Tuesday that the response from his forces will be “much more powerful” if it decides to attack in the context of the latest bombings by its ally, the United States, against the Asian country.

“I can only say one thing to the leaders of Iran: do not expect silence if you attack us. Do not expect a repeat of the past because it will not be a repetition even though that was already sufficiently forceful. This will be something different, much more powerful,” he said during a speech in Dimona, in the heart of the Negev desert.
In this regard, Netanyahu reiterated that Israel is prepared for “any scenario.” “The days are gone when someone hurt us and we did not respond by hitting back with double the force. We acted this way against the ‘axis of evil’ in Iran and we will continue to do so with anyone who harms us. That is what we do,” he argued.

The United States, Israel’s ally, has announced in recent hours bombings against “military targets throughout Iran,” including Bushehr, Chah Bahar, Jask, Konarak, Abu Musa, and Bandar Abbas, in order to “further reduce Iran’s ability to attack commercial maritime transport,” amid fears of a possible collapse of efforts to advance toward an agreement.
In response, the Revolutionary Guard has claimed attacks against the U.S. naval base in Jufair, Bahrain, headquarters of the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) naval forces and the U.S. Fifth Fleet, and U.S. positions in Jordan, as part of the third consecutive night of attacks between Washington and Tehran in the Middle East.
