“The United States Central Command forces have begun launching a wave of attacks against Iran. These attacks aim to further weaken the military capabilities that Iranian forces have used to attack merchant ships in the Strait of Hormuz,” stated the United States Army Central Command (CENTCOM) in a message on social media.

Washington has resumed in recent days its military campaign against Iran with numerous bombings against the Central Asian country and has reimposed a naval blockade against Iranian ports and coasts, amid rising tensions once the White House declared the preliminary agreement signed in June for a ceasefire broken.

“The south of Iran is the beating heart of this homeland. The south of Iran is the soul of Iran,” said the spokesperson of the Iranian government, Fatemé Mohajerani, who did not provide a detailed report on victims or places attacked by the United States.
