At least 13 people died this weekend in attacks by the Israeli Army on Palestine. The assaults in three sectors occurred days after Hamas accepted a disarmament agreement in the Gaza Strip.
This pact consists of the disarmament of the Islamist movement with the gradual Israeli withdrawal from Palestinian territory, and is part of the second phase of the truce between Hamas and Israel. It was announced on Thursday by the US president, Donald Trump, who stated that it is a “monumental step towards lasting peace and security.”
The Republican authority detailed that the agreement aims for “Gaza to finally be governed by a new Palestinian government that will work closely with the Peace Board to help the Palestinian people.” For this, the treaty will be executed in structured phases.
“Once the disarmament is completed, Israeli forces will withdraw and the International Stabilization Force will work with a new Palestinian police force to ensure the security of Gaza for its residents and neighbors,” Trump said.

In any case, the progress was not valued by Itamar Ben-Gvir, Israeli Minister of National Security. On July 31, he stated on his social networks that the project is not acceptable for his country: “After the massacre of October 7, the blood of every Hamas man is sentenced and, therefore, a commitment to cease the eliminations of the terrorists’ organization killers amounts to allowing Hamas to regroup for the next massacre. Selective assassinations in Gaza must continue.”
Precisely, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced this Sunday on their social networks that they “eliminated” two commanders. They are Muhammad Abd al-Nasser Muhammad Khatib, from the Maghazi battalion, and Salem Jamal Abd al Rahman Abu Labad, who allegedly infiltrated the Nir Oz kibbutz on October 7.
According to reports from various international media, Palestinian officials denounced attacks in the cities of Gaza, Jan Yunis, and Deir al Balah, with at least 13 deaths as a result and minors among the deceased.
