What if instead of listening to the heartbeats, we listen to the women?
The bill Listen to Your Heart once again put abortion at the center of the debate. It is a proposal that would require women to listen to the heartbeat of the embryo or fetus before accessing a legal abortion for three reasons. In response, various feminist organizations and health professionals have raised their voices to criticize the measure and remind that there are women who still face obstacles to exercising that right and others whose stories do not even find space within the law.
