At least two children lost their lives and seven others were injured in Ukrainian attacks against the Krasnodar region, located in the northwest Caucasus, according to Russian authorities during the early hours of Monday local time (night in Chile).

“The remains of a drone fell on a private children’s center in Krasnodar. Unfortunately, two children lost their lives. Our deepest condolences to their families,” reported the region’s governor, Veniamin Kondratiev, through a message shared on social media.
In the post, he also revealed that “seven other children were injured and are receiving all necessary care”.
The Russian authority added to this last figure two other adults who suffered injuries and are hospitalized, as well as damage to residential buildings and an apartment block under construction in the region’s eponymous capital, due to the fall of drone debris on them.

Meanwhile, the impact of another of these unmanned aircraft caused a fire in a warehouse that emergency services continue to fight to achieve its complete extinction.
“I have given instructions to the mayor of Krasnodar, Yevgeni Naumov, to provide periodic updates on the situation and offer support to all those affected by tonight’s incident,” added the local governor.
