United States President Donald Trump has assured that the war in Iran will end “just after” the midterm elections on November 3 and that the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate will be renewed, stating that Tehran cannot “hold on any longer” and is trying to influence the elections.
“I think the war will end just after the elections because they can’t hold on any longer. They are desperate to try to influence the elections,” he said in statements to the press before participating in the Republican convention held in Dallas, Texas.
In this way, he wanted to separate the electoral event from the conflict in Iran, pointing out that the goal of the U.S. Army offensive is that the Islamic Republic never has a nuclear weapon. In his view, Iran will agree to a series of elements that it was not previously open to negotiating, aside from the nuclear issue.
“We will have nuclear energy. That is 99.9%. But there will be many other options on the table that were not there before”, he assured regarding the eventual end of the war.
Regarding the price of oil and gas, which are rising again, Trump emphasized that the market will also stabilize after the November event. “Just after the elections, oil prices will plummet. They will plummet, and we will make them go down,” he said, although he acknowledged that the situation “will take a little longer” than the midterm timeframe.

The White House chief has emphasized in any case that the issue is “very easy to explain” to the American public. “You just have to ask: ‘Will you let Iran have a nuclear weapon?’ And the answer is no,” he maintained.
