The U.S. ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, has denounced the “Israeli terrorists” who for several days have been harassing a Palestinian family in the town of Qusra, in northern West Bank, a critical area of settler violence surrounded by illegal settlements and outposts.
“The actions of those carrying out these horrendous acts of terror to intimidate and harass this family are repugnant,” Huckabee stated, emphasizing that the Embassy has urged the Police and the Army to act against these “Israeli terrorists.”
“There is no excuse for such brutal behavior,” the ambassador expressed in a series of messages on his social media, where he hinted that the people harassed by this violent mob are also U.S. citizens.
The Israeli Army, for its part, has reversed its initial plan to evacuate the families being harassed and has finally decided that they can remain in their homes while operations to remove the violent individuals are carried out.

“Troops have been ordered to allow the town’s residents to remain in their homes,” the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated, reporting that they have removed the violent individuals who since Sunday had tightened the siege around this family’s home.
The ambassador posted a video on his social media showing part of this operation, although it was nothing more than footage of vehicles, including an excavator. The Israeli Army reported that they evacuated two of these settlements last night in this town near Nablus.
Israeli settler violence against Palestinians in the West Bank has intensified in recent years alongside the Army’s bombardment of the Gaza Strip. The international community has denounced that the settlements are illegal, even under Israeli law, whose authorities remain indifferent to the actions committed by these extremists.
