An attack with a projectile of unknown origin in the Strait of Hormuz was recorded by the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations Center (Ukmto).
It would be an aggression to the hull of a bulk carrier, announced this Saturday by the maritime center. All crew members were found safe and no damage assessments were reported. The environmental impact of the offensive is unknown at this time.
From Ukmto they recommended vessels to “proceed with caution and report any suspicious activity”.
Just this past Friday, the North American leader, Donald Trump, stated that the controversial maritime passage will be “very soon” part of U.S. territory, after the end of the war with Iran.
“When we have finished defeating Iran, which is suffering a crushing defeat, very soon I will declare the Strait of Hormuz U.S. territory. Essentially, that is what it is,” he declared.

For his part, Kazem Gharibabadi, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister, responded that “the Strait of Hormuz cannot be taken with tweets, aircraft carriers, decrees or electoral speeches.” Likewise, he stated that his nation does not fear threats and emphasized that the Trump administration has suffered serious strategic defeats so far.
“The Strait of Hormuz was, is and will be Iranian; it will only open and close under Iranian command, and as long as they do not accept the reality of defeat and do not abandon their illusions, Iran will continue to impose the blockade,” he said.
During this Saturday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates publicly condemned an Iranian aggression towards an oil ship affiliated with the Emirati state company Adnoc, while transiting the maritime passage. No injuries were recorded as a result of the attack.
“Targeting commercial maritime transport and using the Strait of Hormuz as a tool of economic coercion or blackmail represents an act of piracy by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard,” the ministry stated.
