Two people died and a third was injured after a shooting that occurred Saturday night at a shopping center located in the U.S. town of Hebron, Indiana, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Department.
A press release detailed that shortly after 7:00 p.m. local time (same time in Chile), Indiana State Police officers and officials from the same Lake department responded to a call at Karmic Sunshine, an antiques and accessories store located near Indiana State Road 2.
Soon after, at 7:37 p.m., DW’s Junction 2-65, a live country music venue located in the same shopping area, posted on Facebook a message to prevent people from coming to the place due to the incident.
“There is an active shooter between here and the truck stops. There have been gunshot injuries and we are in lockdown”, the warning said.
According to the preliminary investigation, a 62-year-old man allegedly shot and killed a woman inside Karmic Sunshine, injuring another 24-year-old victim who was trying to escape.
