The Iranian Presidency’s deputy spokesperson, Mehdi Tabatabaei, stated in a social media message that the visit of the Pakistani delegation was “very fruitful” and added that “it was full of diplomatic achievements of great value.” “The results will be revealed soon,” he said, without further details.
The Iranian leader, Masud Pezeshkian, held a meeting on Monday with the head of the Pakistani Army, Asim Munir, to whom he expressed his gratitude for Islamabad’s “constructive mediation efforts,” as well as emphasizing the need to “achieve the objectives” set out in the memorandum of understanding reached with the United States.
Thus, he demanded that Washington “fulfill its commitments towards Iran” and “review its tone and stance” when maintaining relations with Tehran, while reiterating that “harassment and intimidation will only complicate” the situation, according to the Iranian news agency Tasnim.

Pezeshkian also stated that the realization of lasting peace in the Middle East is “essential” and pointed out that Iranian authorities “are prepared to cooperate and interact with Muslim and neighboring countries in the economic, political, and security fields.”
Just a few hours earlier, the Pakistani Interior Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, had pointed to “significant progress” in talks with Iranian authorities aimed at relaunching the diplomatic process with the United States to end the conflict.
The visit of Munir and Naqvi coincided with the United States’ announcement of a commercial offensive to cut off all sources of funding for Iran, even threatening sanctions against all countries that maintain trade ties with the Asian country, including China, to achieve total isolation of the Iranian economy.
