An attack with Ukrainian drones against a logistics center located in the city of Kotovsk, in western Russia, left at least seven people dead and 24 others injured during the early hours of this Saturday.

According to the governor of the Tambov region, Evgueni Pervishov, the fatalities were night shift workers at a warehouse belonging to Wildberries, one of the main e-commerce companies in Russia.
The attack caused a fire in the facilities, which was extinguished, although Fire Department teams remain working on site. Pervishov described the event as a “planned terrorist attack against civilians”.
Additionally, another Wildberries warehouse was hit by drones in Elektrostal, a city located about 50 kilometers east of Moscow. The governor of the Moscow region, Andrei Vorobyov, reported that 24 people were injured, some seriously.

In the nearby city of Noginsk, a fire also broke out in an oil depot, leaving two people injured. Due to the emergency, a maternity clinic located nearby had to be evacuated as a precaution.
Meanwhile, the mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin, stated that more than 370 drones were launched overnight towards the region surrounding the Russian capital. According to the authority, most were intercepted before reaching their targets, while 64 devices were shot down as they approached Moscow.
Kotovsk, where the attack with fatalities occurred, is located about 500 kilometers southeast of Moscow. Ukraine has intensified its operations against logistics and energy facilities located on Russian territory in recent months.
