The Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy of Kuwait (MEW) called on the population of their country to cooperate with the rationalization of energy, following Iranian attacks on a power and water distillation plant.

During the morning of this July 19, the ministry denounced a second aggression in two days, directed from Tehran towards the plant. According to their explanation, the assault caused a fire in some facilities of the plant and affected power generation units.
The Fire Department teams are controlling the fire to extinguish it and emergency and immediate response plans have already been activated to mitigate the effects of the offensive.
Likewise, technical and preventive measures began to be implemented to secure the plant, in coordination with security authorities. The aim is to assess the damage and work to restore the affected units as soon as possible.
Thus, the MEW communicated that the teams continue working 24 hours a day to keep the electrical system stable and guarantee the continuity of its service. To close their message, they asked the population to rationalize electricity consumption.
This past Saturday, the ministry reported another Iranian aggression on a power and water distillation plant. The attack caused a fire in one of the components of the site and several generation units had to be disconnected to preserve safety and guarantee the stability of the electrical system.
After this incident, the authorities requested the public to rationalize electricity, especially during peak usage hours (11:00 am and 5:00 pm), to reduce the load on the electrical grid.
Previously, on July 17, the same ministry reported an Iranian assault against the State of Kuwait with an attack on a power and water distillation plant. This offensive caused damage to the plant’s facilities and affected power generation units, as well as a fire. The latter, according to MEW reports, was quickly extinguished.
On the same day, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard attacked US military bases in Bahrain and Kuwait, resulting in the death of a group of American soldiers.
