Thus, Iranian authorities have indicated that they have destroyed a US radar of the THAAD anti-aircraft defense system deployed on Jordanian soil, a measure adopted “in retaliation” for the bombings recently perpetrated against Iran.
In a statement released by state television IRIB, they also reported the destruction of a Patriot surface-to-air missile system, designed to intercept ballistic projectiles, as well as the burning of a hangar that would have been used for helicopter maintenance work.
“It is our legal, religious and logical right to attack American targets from which aggression against our country has originated. (…) In punishment against the American Army for the murder of children and in response to repeated aggressions against the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran, a radar of the American THAAD anti-missile defense system has been destroyed thanks to the use of lightning attacks against American bases,” they pointed out.

“Sometimes it is said that Iran has violated the independence, territorial integrity and sovereignty of countries with its attacks, but such a judgment is completely wrong. In our opinion, the independence, territorial integrity and sovereignty of their Government are fully respected. What kind of place is an American base in a foreign country? A place where Americans and anyone they want, sometimes prisoners from other countries, enter and leave,” they warned.
In this regard, they criticized that US law prevails in these bases and not that of the countries where they have been deployed, as is the case in Jordan. “Not even their Minister of Defense has the right to enter there without the permission of the American guards. So it is the United States that has violated the territorial integrity and sovereignty (of Jordan) and not us,” they stated.
“We are attacking lands occupied by the American Army, an Army that knows nothing but crime,” they affirmed, before emphasizing that “these crimes continue, some of which are carried out using American bases in Jordanian territory.” “It is our legal, religious and logical right to denounce the aggressor of our country and the murderer of our children, no matter where they attack,” they concluded.
