The president of Argentina, Javier Milei, addressed yesterday Friday the rise in the country’s delinquency rate, stating firmly that in this, there is no reason to blame the government’s politics.

At the event for the 142nd anniversary of the Stock Exchange, according to the media El Clarín, the Argentine leader addressed the problems of facing the payment of loans at high rates in banks and online financial institutions, indicating that “there are no elements to blame the government for the delinquency issue.”
Along with this, Milei also warned that “they are trying to shift the blame” onto his government in this matter, also indicating there is an “operation” to make people believe that society was not doing well economically.
“Why so much debate? The numbers (from Argentina) are not different from those the United States has in delinquency, and let’s not even mention Chile, or Brazil, or something similar,” he questioned. “So the question is why so much noise? I don’t know, unless they have a compulsion to want to save the banks, which seems quite particular to me.”

In this line, the leader recalled that they are close to an election year.
“Clearly it is part of the strategy that they don’t want us to enter and embrace the future and they want to retain the prebendary and corrupt status quo. The strategy lies in generating all the noise and all the possible distortions and all the damage possible to see if they manage to raise the country risk and that this stops the expansion of the economy,” he said.
In that sense, he stated that “the elections are next year, the campaign has already started,” although he highlighted that “we have been growing for 27 consecutive months, I understand that they hate me, but the data is the data.”
“Either we put on the big pants or we sink. There is the possibility to decide it next year, they want to return to the populist solution, they have a destiny called Cuba,” he said.
