Movimiento Original are awarded as Cultural Ambassadors of the Municipality of Pudahuel

At a peak moment in their professional career, the iconic national group Movimiento Original was honored as the first Cultural Ambassador of the Pudahuel commune. The award was presented by the Municipality of Pudahuel through its mayor, Ítalo Bravo Lizana, in an emotional ceremony held at the Municipal Library that reviewed the band’s history and the deep territorial roots with the area that saw them born.

This institutional recognition marks a highly significant milestone within the celebrations for the 20 years of Movimiento Original’s career, consolidating the social, musical, and cultural impact that Aerstame, DJ Acres, and Stailok have built over two decades.

“Pudahuel is our home, the place where we grew up, where our first songs were born, and where much of what we are as a band was formed. Receiving this recognition as cultural ambassadors deeply moves us and commits us to continue carrying the name of the commune with pride to every stage, because Pudahuel is always in our hearts,” expressed the band members during the ceremony.

For his part, Mayor Ítalo Bravo emphasized the importance of this milestone within the municipality’s cultural policy: “There is a Pudahuel identity that is formed with the duality of the countryside and the city. There is a value of cultural essence that cannot be lost, and that is why today we recognize Movimiento Original, valuing the living heritage of our territory.”

This appointment comes amid an intense agenda of celebration for the band’s two decades. The highlight of this anniversary will be the upcoming December 5 at the Bicentenario Stadium in La Florida, a venue where they will offer a historic mega concert that will bring together major figures of Chilean and international music.

The event has been consolidated as a major musical summit. To the already confirmed rap and urban music exponents such as Ana Tijoux, Portavoz, ChysteMC, Shamanes Crew, MC Piri and the renowned Spanish duo SFDK (who will offer a long-duration show), recently first-rate guests of varied styles have joined: the historic Inti-Illimani, Joe Vasconcellos, La Combo Tortuga, and Semillah Skillz.

Alongside the preparation of their milestone at the Bicentenario Stadium and the promotion of their latest studio album, Fuego (2026), the group has just released their single “Pudahuel”. The song — an urban nostalgia piece together with former members MC Piri and Semillah Skillz under the Estéreo Fam project — reaffirms the relevance and neighborhood identity that has characterized Movimiento Original throughout their 20 years of history.
