Prominent film producer Ignacio Agüero, Diego Céspedes, and the MAFI collective were selected by the Venice Festival 2026 with Una Fortaleza, their first short film as a director, and are preparing the premiere of Hijas Únikas, their feature debut. Both films are inspired by their experiences as a student at an all-girls high school. “Politics has changed too much for political cinema to remain the same,” they tell Culto in this interview, where they review their journey in the industry and the genesis of their films.
