An intense police operation was registered this Sunday afternoon at the Seattle Center complex, in Washington state, United States, after a shooting left multiple victims amidst the traditional gastronomic festival Bite of Seattle, which gathered thousands of people during its closing day.

Local media reported that the incident occurred around 6:00 PM (local time), when a series of shots abruptly interrupted the activities of the event, generating scenes of panic among attendees, who sought refuge while dozens of patrols, ambulances, and emergency teams arrived at the scene.

Through a statement released on the social network X, the Seattle Police Department confirmed the existence of “multiple gunshot victims” and urged the public to stay away from the area while investigative procedures are underway.

So far, the exact number of people injured or deceased has not been reported, nor has information been provided about the victims’ health status. Likewise, the identity of the alleged perpetrator has not been confirmed nor if anyone has been arrested for these events.
