The Iranian Foreign Minister, Abbas Araqchi, will make an official visit to China this Wednesday to discuss with his counterpart, Wang Yi, bilateral relations and the situation in the Middle East, within the framework of the regional conflict opened by the surprise offensive launched on February 28 by the United States and Israel against the Asian country.

The spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Esmaeil Baqaei, has indicated that Araqchi will travel to Beijing to discuss with Wang “bilateral relations” and “important regional and international matters”, without further details on the matter.
The visit has been confirmed by a spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry of the Asian giant, who highlighted that Wang “will hold talks” with Araqchi during the visit, with the duration not yet known, as reported by the Chinese news agency Xinhua.

Araqchi’s trip to China will take place amid the stalemate of the dialogue process mediated by Pakistan to try to reach a peace agreement that ends the conflict in the Middle East, amid international calls for a solution also due to the impact of the war on the global economy.
