The units in charge of border control in Ceuta (Spain) have recovered from the water the lifeless bodies of 10 people in the last 24 hours. There are already 38 foreigners found dead in Ceuta waters this year while attempting to swim across from Morocco.

Throughout the afternoon of this Thursday, the Civil Guard identified seven deceased people in the water. In the morning, it was Maritime Rescue that found another lifeless body. And on Wednesday afternoon, two more were located.
If the pace continues, the number of deaths recorded at the end of last year, totaling 46, will soon be reached.

Meanwhile, hundreds of people continued entering Ceuta this afternoon by skirting the Tarajal breakwater, both on foot and swimming. Awaiting official figures, police sources warn that irregular entries may have exceeded 10,000.
The migration crisis that Ceuta is experiencing is beginning to resemble the emergency that occurred in May 2021, when more than 10,000 migrants entered the city in just two days.
