Zelenski denounces that his partners reduced missile deliveries up to three times during full Russian attacks

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky lamented this Wednesday that his partners have reduced ballistic missile deliveries up to three times to equip air defense systems and urged them to take appropriate political steps to reverse this situation as Russian attacks occur.

“Partner supplies have decreased significantly”, Zelensky warned after meeting with the top officials of the Ministry of Defense, including Minister Yevhen Khmara, to assess the situation on the front, as well as the latest deadly attacks that hit Kyiv last night.

“The number of air defense missiles supplied has fallen three times compared to 2025. And this concerns not only this summer period but every period of the first half of 2026,” he highlighted, after already reproaching Ukraine’s partners throughout the day for these delivery delays.

In this regard, he urged Ukraine’s partners to make the necessary political decisions to accelerate these deliveries and agreements to produce this type of projectile, referring to the licenses that the United States has initially granted so that Patriot missiles can be manufactured on Ukrainian soil.

Zelensky has been consistently making this type of reproach in recent weeks as the Russian Army has intensified its attacks and winter looms on the horizon, when the Kremlin, as it did years ago, will have the country’s energy facilities as its main target.

Earlier this Wednesday, Zelensky denounced that the latest attacks by the Russian Armed Forces on Kyiv, which have cost the lives of 17 people and injured nearly fifty more, could have caused at least less damage if the Ukrainian Army had the necessary ballistic missiles.

“It is very important that partners understand that delays in supplies or reluctance to transfer anti-ballistic systems lead precisely to these terrible losses,” he said, urging those reluctant to deliver their arsenal to at least campaign in favor of sanctions against Russia.
