Astro, one of the flagship bands of national indie rock and that marked the local songbook produced in the 21st century, returns to the stage with a show scheduled for December 19 at the Teatro Coliseo.

With its original lineup composed of Andrés Nusser, Nicolás Arancibia, Daniel Varas, and Octavio Cavieres, the group is preparing a special reunion for its followers, who can access ticket sales starting Monday, August 24, from 10AM via Puntoticket.
The reunion comes ten years after the announcement of their indefinite separation, a story that began in 2008 and quickly transcended the country’s borders. From their first releases, Astro developed a proposal that captured the attention of the national and international scene. Their debut EP, Le disc de Astrou, released in 2009, was the starting point of a trajectory that took them to perform in Argentina, Uruguay, and Mexico, where songs like Maestro Distorsión achieved significant radio presence.
During the following years, the band progressively expanded its international presence. In Chile, they shared the stage with artists like Metronomy and The Sea and Cake, while in Latin America they participated in festivals such as Rock al Parque in Colombia. In 2011, they released their first studio album, Astro, from which songs like Ciervos, Colombo and Panda emerged.

The international projection continued with performances on stages and festivals such as Lollapalooza Chicago, Mysteryland in Amsterdam, and Primavera Sound in Barcelona. Subsequently, the group moved towards a new stage with the release of Hawaii, Caribbean and Druida, songs that anticipated Chicos de la Luz, their latest studio album, released in December 2015.
In May 2016, Astro announced their indefinite separation and its members continued developing different musical projects. Ten years later, the group reunites to celebrate their history and reconnect with the songs that built a fundamental part of their identity and the Chilean independent scene.
