The company officially presented Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, an album composed of 34 original songs and developed in partnership with Atlantic Records, which will be released on November 19, the same day as the launch of the highly anticipated video game.
Although the full list of artists is not yet known, Rockstar released the first six songs of the project, a selection that shows the musical breadth that will accompany the return to Vice City and the fictional state of Leonida.
Among the announced names are Travis Scott, Rauw Alejandro, Keith Richards, Morgan Wallen, Yung Lean, Future, Metro Boomin, PinkPantheress, Fred again.. and the Argentine duo CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso.
One of the most notable releases is RHYNO, by Travis Scott, a song produced by Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, known worldwide for having formed the electronic duo Daft Punk with Thomas Bangalter.
Also available is That’s It, by Yung Lean together with Future and Metro Boomin, while electronic and pop are represented in Sexy Magic, a particularly large collaboration that brings together CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, PinkPantheress, Fred again.. and the French producer Etienne de Crécy.
The Latin presence, meanwhile, is initially in the hands of Puerto Rican Rauw Alejandro, who contributes the track Macacoa 2000.
The first selection is completed with Last Thing You Need, by American country singer Morgan Wallen, and Bright Lights, Big City, performed by Keith Richards, guitarist of The Rolling Stones.
The six songs are already available on major streaming platforms. Rockstar still keeps the other 28 compositions that will be part of the full album under wraps.
The announcement of The Album does not necessarily represent everything that can be heard within Grand Theft Auto VI.
Rockstar revealed that the dynamic soundtrack of the video game and “the next evolution” of the in-game radios, one of the elements that have historically defined the identity of the saga, are yet to be revealed.
The company has not yet provided details about the number of stations, their hosts, or the list of licensed songs that could play while players explore Vice City and the rest of Leonida.
The distinction is important: Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album is composed of 34 original songs created for this release, while Rockstar anticipates additional information about the music system and the stations that will be integrated into the video game itself.
Music has traditionally been a central part of Grand Theft Auto. Its radios function not only as song players but also as part of world-building, with programs, fictional advertising, conversations, and stations associated with different genres.
With GTA VI, Rockstar seems to be preparing an expansion of that formula, although the details of that new radio experience remain secret.
Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album will also be available on vinyl and CD starting November 19.
Rockstar announced several physical editions, including a limited edition liquid-filled vinyl, a splatter effect version, and a CD edition. There will also be different color variants and exclusive covers distributed by different stores.
The release will coincide with the arrival of Grand Theft Auto VI on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Set again in Vice City and the state of Leonida, the game will star Jason and Lucia, a couple caught in a criminal conspiracy after a heist goes wrong. Rockstar set its worldwide release for November 19, 2026.
