Two people died and three others were injured after an armed individual stormed a bar in Campo Mourão, in the state of Paraná, in southern Brazil, and fired at those present.

The incident occurred on Friday night, according to the Paraná Public Security Secretariat. According to initial reports, the suspect, who is believed to be a teenager, passed by the establishment once and then returned to fire “several gunshots at the people present” in the venue.
The attack left two dead, aged 38 and 43 years. Additionally, three people aged 23, 40, and 41 years were injured. So far, their health status has not been officially reported.
Security camera footage released by local media captured the moment the attacker arrived at the bar with his face covered by a balaclava and opened fire on the customers. Upon hearing the shots, several people dropped to the ground to protect themselves.
The Paraná Civil Police has opened an investigation to clarify the circumstances of the attack and identify those responsible.
Meanwhile, a woman was caught in the act during operations carried out by the Military Police in recent hours. According to authorities, she was found in possession of ammunition, drugs, signal jammers, and explosive material.
“The investigation remains open to clarify her connection to the crime,” Brazilian authorities stated.
According to the hypothesis the police are considering, the target of the attack was one of the injured persons: a 40-year-old woman. However, this investigative line still needs to be confirmed by ongoing inquiries.
