The Government of Iran has raised this Friday to nearly 40 the dead and more than 400 the injured from the attacks carried out in recent days by the United States against the Asian country, despite the ceasefire agreed in April and the memorandum of understanding signed in June.
The spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Health, Hosein Kermanpur, stated in a message on social media that so far 38 dead have been recorded, including a child, more than 400 injured, 47 of whom are hospitalized. “Health is the first victim of war,” he pointed out.
Kermanpur did not specify whether this figure includes the fatalities from the U.S. attacks in recent hours. The figures provided by the Iranian Government usually refer to civilian victims, while the Army and the Revolutionary Guard publish separate reports on military casualties.

The United States has been launching attacks against Iran for several days alleging violations of the memorandum of understanding, something rejected by Tehran, which has denounced ceasefire violations and responded with attacks against U.S. interests in the region, raising fears of a collapse of negotiations for a peace agreement.
