The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed this Tuesday that its forces have launched attacks against targets of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard at various points in Iran following the latest wave of bombings carried out by the Army against the Iranian island of Larek.

“Today at 12:00 hours, U.S. forces have begun attacking targets of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard in Iran. The attacks follow recent attempted attacks by the Revolutionary Guard against commercial transport in the Strait of Hormuz and against U.S. service members deployed in the region,” it stated on social media.
U.S. President Donald Trump specified that the Army is attacking “Iranian targets near the Strait of Hormuz” and warned Tehran that if it responds to a “fully justified attack” by Washington, it will receive “a new blow with much greater harshness and intensity.”
“These are large-scale and powerful attacks, carried out in retaliation for Iran’s failed attempt to place naval mines in the strait, which is currently free of them—they have been removed or completely detonated—and for the launch of eight missiles, all successfully intercepted, against our military base in Jordan,” the magnate pointed out on social media.

In response, the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces stated in a communiqué that it will impose “a high price on the U.S. enemy” after explosions were heard in the port city of Bandar Abbas and on Qeshm Island, according to the Iranian public television network, IRIB.
“The more the U.S. terrorist Army insists on sowing chaos in the region, the greater and more serious the losses it will have to endure. We have repeatedly declared and determined that under no circumstances will we compromise the rights of the heroic Iranian nation and we will impose a high price on the U.S. enemy,” it argued.
Similarly, the spokesperson for the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Sardar Mohebi, stated in a message shared on social media that Washington “will regret its new attacks.” “Severe punishment awaits the aggressors,” he said.
Trump has stated on several occasions over recent months that Washington destroyed Iran’s military capabilities as part of the offensive launched on February 28 alongside Israel, despite which clashes have continued sporadically, including an exchange of attacks in recent hours.
